Heated handgrips

I just installed a set and a thumb throttle heater. Does anybody have these and do they make a difference in really cold weather? I got tired of my hands freezing on frigid days and having to wear really thick gloves. Just curious how they work.

Have em on my big Harley and they are worth their weight in gold for winter riding.

I have only the heated handgrips. Nice when plowing snow.

Rack. I know what you are going thru. My hands are the first thing to get cold. I have a heated steering wheels on my Ram that goes on automatically at 39 degrees and would also like heated grips on my quad

Good to see you got the thumb throttle heater as well, it will make a difference. I put a set of heated grips on my sportsman years ago but only had the grips which helped, the canam I had after the sportsman also had the thumb throttle which is really nice. I also helps when you ride in the rain it will help keep your hands dry.

I also have heated grips on my Harley, my last 3 Harley's actually had them. I went to Alaska this year on my bike and along with my heated vest they were a must.

I used them yesterday. I had them on high and within a few minutes my hand were hot. I had to turn them to the lowest setting. I just had on a pair of lightweight gloves. I bought the Tusk model and they weren’t expensive. If they only last one winter it will be the best $50ish dollars I’ve ever spent on riding gear.

Has anyone here done the conversion where the thumb throttle is replaced with a twist hand grip like on a motorcycle?

Had the heated grips on a snowmobile. Worth every penny there. (Don't own the machine anymore.)
Don't have them on the ATVs, can't say I miss them for that application. Not the same length of time (or speed) in super cold weather as on the snowmobile.
I'm not opposed to them, just don't see them as a deal-breaker when looking for the next ATV. If they're included in the right deal, fine, but I'm not paying extra for them.
