Oh I still have tractors. Even a big 210C 4wdr John Deere backhoe/loader. The loader is great, but when the snow gets over 14 inches, even the loader bogs down. A neighbor works in Baltimore and if he gets snowed in at work, I feed his stock for him. I can take the ATV as the crow flies, across fields, a 1/3 mile to his pasture. If I go around on the roads, it is more like 2 miles, and one very steep hill involved. Just thinking it would be easier to take the ATV cross country than a heavy vehicle on unplowed roads.
When we got hit by the blizzard in 1993, this dumb city kid thought his tractor could do anything and I promptly got stuck in a drift, less than 40 yds from the barn, even with the chains on. My biggest tractor has rear wheels about 60 inches in diameter, filled with calcium and even that gets stuck (2wdr)
