Used ATV/UTV price guides

Are the prices i see on the Kelly Blue book for used UTV's realistic?
I'm starting to shop for a used UTV and am trying to figure out how to determine what a fair price is for some models?
Any better sources? web sites?

Thanks,
Ron G

Tough to put a number on a used unit especially with all the options that can be added to the units these days. Best advice I can give you is to look on ebay and completed listings to get an idea on what they are actually selling for and not what people are asking.

yes and NO
if you can find unmolested atv's in all stock condition, I say YES, they can be a good starting point,
BUT finding all stock used atv's is rare!
so, on that side of things NO
HOW an atv was used is a HUGE part of its wear and tear factor and or possible bigger problems down the road
BIG tires, snorkels and such, are all things MOST one's never designed there atv's to use
never mind those that think atv's are boats(not bashing here)

pulling tractor like implement for hrs is another thing they were never designed for, yet very common use for them
an atv is NOT a tractor , like it or not, two totally different animals!

every used atv needs to be based on location and condition period IMO
no set rules work really, just starting points MAYBE!

Atv's are like guns in PA

They can be used and abused, beat up and scratched.

Used hard showing wear, but cleaned real good to make it look good. (polished t_rd) ( Don't even tell me that is profanity.)

Used and cleaned after every use. clean.

Hardly used safe queens that never get used but once a year if that and cleaned real good.

Your best bet on finding a good low used atv is down in the South east side of PA most of the time. But you pay more around there. Not driven hard, or much at all, no trails to ride them on.
I have bought clean great quads from all parts of PA , everyone clean and great, but you have to really look.

Grizzly, I agree, but I also think a person has to KNOW what to look for when buying or can get screwed real fast!
folks today can hide so many things and lie to your face as if its the truth
always remember any deal too good to be true most likely is!
and price alone doesn't mean CRAP
inspect the atv close, and or take someone with you that knows more than you too, two sets of eye's are better than one!
