Polaris Razor 570 vs. Artic Cat Wildcat Trail SxS

I was wondering if any of you had input on either one of the two side by sides. We have narrowed our choices to the razor 570 and wildcat trail base models. Normal uses would be trail riding and some lighter work (snow plowing/moving wood). I appreciate any insight you may have! Thanks in advance!

Re: Polaris Razor 570 vs. Artic Cat Wildcat Trail SxS

I had a RZR 800, it was quick and handled pretty good. I did not like the lack of ground clearance on it, but never had any trouble with it.
A friend has a 570 ranger. It does a good job, he seems to go where every we go with out issues. He does skip some of the steep hills climbs. Seems to have plenty of power for hauling 2 people around.
Got another friend who has the CAT, I believe it is the model you are referring to. I think it was a new model last year ?? Anyway, they have probably not used it for 100 miles yet. Seemed to go fine, again there seemed to be some lack of ground clearance, but not any big issue. He said he is selling it, as they prefer their dirt bikes, but last I knew it still sets in his garage.
Guess all of that didn't help a whole lot, but bottom line is I don't know of any major issue with either machine.

Re: Polaris Razor 570 vs. Artic Cat Wildcat Trail SxS

I own a rzr 800 50" and had my eyes set on a new 570 rzr a few years ago but a smoking deal popped up for the 800 and the rest is history. Ground clearance might be an issue if you want to ride on trails that are deeply rutted keeping your sxs in stock form. Some of the first upgrades you should do is buy a better set of tires, you can purchase 26" without any change to your suspension, however buying a set of racer tech springs will also help (I believe Polaris improved the springs from my year, so this may not be needed). Second buy a quality skid plate, the stock one is junk. I know a few guys that put holes in there floor with the stock skid plate underneath their machines.

I have read the guys buying the wild cat can put up to 28" tires without touching anything. That would get you up in the air fairly cheap.

I ride my rzr in some pretty rutted out trails and never had a problem with traction, I may bottom out but I have my underneath protected with a UHMV skid plate and eventually my tires find the traction I need to get out.

Prob gotta switch to 16 inch rims to do that. Possibly 15s. You gotta watch tire and rim weight also on a smaller cc machine you can kill the power that way. I just read the new UTV mag and it says the new ace 570 models are pretty nice. I think the kitty seats 2 right? I just like having a extra seat. That's just me though

Yep, would defiantly agree, that skid plates and possible tire upgrade would be a must for RZR. Fun machines to ride though.
