Ha, the survival bag could be used in the house

It's getting cold and nasty here, after hitting other places. The threat of ice and downed trees is a real possibility, and out of electricity and normal gas heat is possible.

The bag has matches, lighters, and a magnesium fire starter. It has has sredded paper. Some is in the paper sredder .
I have cut wood in the backyard for the fireplace. The fireplace is ready.
I checked on a temporary backup heater for short emergency spurts - a small catalytic heater which I bought on sale one August in scorching Georgia heat.

I have an emergency blanket and plastic tarps. Used one to sleep under and in, once in a forest freeze and survived.

And the county is replacing storm sewage pipes and plan to dig up the one way street to our house.

The parka and the sweaters are ready. And to think some politicians promised global warming.
And I studied survivalism.

It's very wise to have a plan for when the power goes out.

Just happen to be looking into a generator & small heater to keep the pipes from freezing . If you don't mind ordering online , Electric Generator Depot has the best prices and supplies most of the usual retailers . FYI
