Snake Boots and Snake Chaps and Gaiters

Often wondered in Pa if wearing any of the subject anti snake apparel or boots saved people in Pa from a snake bite?
What made me think about this... I was looking at the New CENTRAL Pa mushroom club pictures on their web link.. They were shrooming and they had pictures of Copperheads in the areas they were picking mushrooms..
Here in South Central Pa I do wear snake boots when I pick Morel in the tall Mayapple's. Just wondering how many people ever had a strike to their anti snake boot and or apparel and it stopped a snake bite. I do understand we have snake hunters and they probably would encounter and experience strikes by copperheads and rattlesnakes.
Just would like to hear if a anti snake boot or apparel helped here in Pa from a Snake strike.. I know they wear them all the time in Texas and the South..

Re: Snake Boots and Snake Chaps and Gaiters

I know lots of people who are glad they wore their gear in PA. Had two friends in the last month glad they geared up.
