15 HP Evinrude

I'm thinking about selling my 1985 15 HP Evinrude short shaft electric start, not sure what to ask for it any help would be great. It pull starts and runs awesome the electric needs a neutral safety switch. is $300 a good start ?

You might find me dead in a ditch one day but it will be on a pile of brass

Start at $500+ and see if you can get that. Those small motors are going for a premium right now. I've been looking and many of the motors from the 80's and 90's are being sold for what they cost when they were new.

Just to give you an idea I've sold two of my 9.9's for around $500 each. I had a lot of low ball offers but you'll sell it so long as it is in good condition and runs well.

Re: 15 HP Evinrude

I just bought a '93 evenirude 15hp for $300 and there was nothing wrong with it. It just depends on what somebody is willing to pay and how much your willing to sell for.

$300 is a great price. I am patient as well and look for really good deals.
