Boaters beware

Now is the time for any of you guys with boats still in the water down the Jersey and Delaware shore areas. With Sundays full moon and the impending storm tidal surge is going to be tremendous.

Burning a vacation day today to pull the boat till this blows over. The lines already started at the ramps and the marinas are taking care of the regular customers first.
Seems like the window will be closed by Sunday since they are already calling for heavy winds and rain by then and the storm is not expected to to clear quickly, lasting several days.

Hopefully when this blows over the water temp will have dropped into the 50's and the striped ones will be hungry.

My ability to remember lyrics from songs of the 60's far exceed my ability to remember why I walked into the kitchen

Re: Boaters beware

Both boats are home. The 17CC is in the garage for the winter. The 25 Express is still out to be used for a couple of more trips to the Chesapeake Bay in a few weeks. I have had to make emergency runs to the shore to retrieve boats in the past, but the lack of major coastal storms early this season means I could bring the boats home on my schedule.

Youth and enthusiasm will always be overcome by age and treachery.

This storm looks like it's going to be a WHOPPER!
