14 foot double wide modified V to the Bay???

I have been down to Ocean City, MD and I have been seeing a lot of smaller jon boats in the bay. I have always been under the impression that salt water would be tough on the boat and motor. I have been thinking about taking the Alumacraft down. What are the facts? What are the do and fonts for salt water? I have a 9.9 Merc.

Thanks in advance!!!

Wash boat and flush the motor cooling system with fresh water and you should be fine.

Is your position a short term gain - or a long term loss? Separate the issues.

Yup.. a lot of people just flush the motor and don't worry about the interior of the boat.. amazing what saltwater will do to anything it touches, even just from spray and wind

Do I need to register it in Maryland at all or is it like a car, if it's registered in PA you're good to go in Md too ??

If it has a current Pa registration then it is good to go in Md. You may have to buy a launch permit if you are using a public ramp.

Thanks long hunter- that's what I thought but I wasn't sure. I have been searching everywhere but I might just have to call and ask.
