BEST electric anchor mate?

Any recommendations on what brand of electric anchor system to buy for a 16 foot, 1,100 pound deep V lake boat? Probably use a 15 pound mushroom anchor. I appreciate any thoughts or recommendations on the subject.

http://www.boatersworld.com/static/b...se-anchor.html

my boat came with a danforth anchor and a 100' spool of rope . 100' isnt long enough for where I fish lol . I used 10pound mushroom anchor on my canoe .Them things wouldnt hold the canoe on a windy day let alone a deep v boat .

Bait is for people who don't know how to fish

Re: BEST electric anchor mate?

Maybe a 20 pounder might do if I leave out enough rope. Already bought the Minnkota winch. Thanks.

Re: BEST electric anchor mate?

I know you got your winch but I'll add this for future inquiries. I got the Bass Pro winch, they have it on sale sometimes for $100 regularly priced at $134.99, I've been using it for a little over a year with no problems. I did replace the rope right away though. One of the best things I've done on my boat.

Re: BEST electric anchor mate?

Not a bad deal on the BP winch Papee. I just finished installing mine today. Works great in my dry test. This rope is aweful skinny. Sure hope it holds. I only paid $159.00 at Gander Mountain. These 25R models run well over $200 on sale. Guess it was a closeout deal. Thanks for the input.
