Boat back from the shop

I posted earlier about my 2006 merc 60hp 4stroke running sluggish , boat wouldn't even plane. One thing my son and i did was check the plugs , we were getting spark from all four plugs , Well the shop said they had too replace the ignition coil and plugs, well what ever as long as it runs good , haven't took it to the river yet.
Its a mercury dealership they have a good mech there.

Happy Boating

Re: Boat back from the shop

I was not a big Merc fan until this spring when I brought a pair of 200 HP Verado's. Mercury has really stepped it up and my decision came down to the total weight difference between the Yamaha and Merc...which was roughly 50 [email protected] lighter.
Have ran the snot out of them this season and I can not even tell you what the engine looks like under the cowling..... and I hope it stays that way for the next 5 years

Glad your back up and running. Nothing sadder then a boat sitting on the trailer that will not run. Hope you get a lot of use out of it this fall

My ability to remember lyrics from songs of the 60's far exceed my ability to remember why I walked into the kitchen

Re: Boat back from the shop

I grew up near the south river in maryland I've always been a johnson/evinrude guy. In 2007 I had some money to play with to get a boat, course i wanted j/e but the boat motor packages in my area had Mercury so i broke down and got one but i do like it.
