Tires on my trailer

I bought a Tracker Grizzly on a Trailstar boat trailer. The tires are 5.3-12 and the centers are worn out after a doz.trips or so. The load range is C and are 80psi cold. I have them 80 as recommended. I'm going to replace them and looking for advice (bias vs. radial-hard to find in 12"),psi,brands,suppliers?

Re: Tires on my trailer

80 seems very high ,that why the centers are gone ,,i run a 13 inch radial at 35 and seems fine for my boat

Re: Tires on my trailer

I just got new 4.8X12 "C" range tires for my boat trailer from Mr Tire. They are rated for 90psi cold. If the tires exist they can get them for you and are good to deal with.

Re: Tires on my trailer

I want to hit Pymy tomorrow so I ran up to Smiley's in Aliquippa and got new bias 5.3-12 and set them at 55lbs. All they had were Nanco which looks identical to my spare Trailmaster.I Did'nt want to chance a blow out tomorrow. Thanks for replies we'll see how these hold up $105 for two balanced and installed

Re: Tires on my trailer

I get the St rated tires (Special Trailer). My 1975 small boat trailer is on the third set of 5.3x12 (four bolt).

Nanco I believe are made in china, I've had nothing but bad luck with China tires on my car and larger boat trailer, keep the "Slim" close.
Wish you good luck, might check the bearings, I always do it when changing tires, those small tries spin really fast at 65 mph highway.
