Boat repair

I have a 75 aluminum smoker craft that has a small leak coming in for the transom area. I had about four gallons of water after a halve hour of tubing Sat. I can't find a hole or origin point anywhere. Any suggestions on how to find the problem? Thanks in advance

Re: Boat repair

Are you sure its at the transom area? I had a boat that would get water in it, came from the front where one of the chines attached.

Re: Boat repair

Put the boat on your trailer and take take a hose and put water in the boat, as much as it takes till you see water comming out of the boat, that will tell you where your leak is.

Re: Boat repair

add food coloring. it will show a bit faster than clear water on alum. might be like my b-i-l boat, every seam leaked and lucky he didn't lose the boat. his transom was almost submerged from launch to park the truck

if you bought it, a trucker brought it
