Re: schuylkill river questions

There is a map of the river with depths etc. available. I'll try to find mine and let you know who published it.

There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn't true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true.

Re: schuylkill river questions

Where are you putting in at? I fished it with my 10' Jon and had a few problems in certain areas. There are ways around some of the shallow spots if you go slow and find the deeper spots but it can get dicey quickly.

I'm picking up a new 14' Jon tonight and I'll be putting it in the river over the weekend if all goes well.

I check out this site often

Gives you a good idea how the water is running.

Try http://www.schuylkillriver.org. Look for water trail maps.

They had plastic coated maps for $15.00 a set.

tucker boy, your best bet is to float it in you canoe and make your own chart.the channels and river bottom change with every hard rain

Your right it does not give depths but it does show rapids and classes which should give you an idea of where you might not want to go.
