Conversion of boat from river to resivoir rig

Im new to all things boat so my question is how difficult is it to remove a gas engine that is steered by a center console and has electric start. Im wanting to sell that motor and go with an all electric set up. Its a 97 Honda 4 stroke and Im not sure of the value to sell it.

Horsepower year and condition will determine the sales value of your motor. Hnoda 4 strokes as rule retain their value.

Not sure what service boating you will be doing? But it is relatively simple to remove the motor and the throttle/shift controls. If you have instrumentation that is engine specific, that can be more difficult.

Most center consol boats are heavy and don't lend themselves to using only and electric motor. People usually keep the gas engine to get to where they are fishing and then use and electric trolling motor.

Are you wanting to use a commerical DC motor and a bank of batteries to power your boat?
