my new kayak

My new kayak. I upgraded from a Perception Swifty. It is an old town dirigo 106 xt. I added the anchor and rod holder for my fly rod. Hopefully the water goes down on the Yellow Breeches soon.

Re: my new kayak

Good choice! I have the Dirigo 140, but fish bigger water than the Breeches. The Dirigos are fairly sleek for a rec. kayak, making them faster and easier to paddle than others in the class. (Much lighter than SOT varieties, too.) The big cockpit also makes it a snap to hop in/out to wade fish or drag up through shallow water. A pair of flush mount rod tubes fit nicely behind the seat, too, if you're interested.

Re: my new kayak

I saw the angler version had those rod holders. They wouldn't work with my flyrod. I got bright yellow to be real visible on the susquehanna river. I am sure more modifications are on they way once I get it out on the water.
