Take a deep breath, relax, be patient. The weather hasn't been the best lately. If you are setting on good sign you will continue to catch. Don't get frustrated it is too early in the season for that. Have fun with your trapping or it will become more like work than a hobby. Good luck this season and be careful.
I have alot of sets out all over the place and i pulled most of them becuse of the recent storm put them back in a few days ago most in differnent locations and still nothing
I haven't seen fut a few coons hit on the road latly. That means they are not moving. After this week with night temps in the 30's all week they will move!!!!!
Coon are nomads. They can be "here today, gone tomorrow." They go to a new food source.
You just aren't set up right where they are.
As far as them not moving, that's debatable.
Rainy above freezing weather is coon trapping weather, IMO. Always did best on warmish rainy nights.
Yodel and Oldmink are dead on....too early to get frustrated. Relax. Be patient. There's a lot out there for coons to eat at the moment and they are wandering their way through the buffet. Move your sets around a little if you'd like. Most importantly...be safe, have fun, and stay positive.
