Re: Glenn Bowers Chapter

John,
is this the Glenn Bowers from Bowers Marine?

American by birth, union by force.
Would like to see that bumper sticker.

Re: Glenn Bowers Chapter

Here is some information on Glenn. Game Commission Executive and member of the famous Black Sheep Squadron.

http://news.google.com/newspapers?nid=22...pg=1291,2343829

After attending the chapter meetings for a while I had to do some research on why the chapter was named after this man. He was at every meeting I was at and even the field day (rained the whole time) to supervise. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Glenn, Toby and his family.

Re: Glenn Bowers Chapter

Xcountry answered the question. Not many folks know he was a Black Sheep and was wounded in battle.

Re: Glenn Bowers Chapter

There was a good article about Bowers several years ago in Game News detailing his exploits in the Black Sheep Squadron.

This is who we are. This is what we do.

Re: Glenn Bowers Chapter

My Dad passed away June 25 at age 89.
To clear up one question and one misstatement, no, he had nothing to do with Bowers Marine and he was NOT wounded in action.
