Heading to Camp Thur.

We are headed to camp outside of St. Marys for our annual turkey fry. Anybody know the snow conditions up that way?

Re: Heading to Camp Thur.

If I'm making a trip up to Potter during the winter months,
I call one of the local general stores for the snow conditions.

Re: Heading to Camp Thur.

Was just there last weekend. Snow was about 12" give or take and then 2"-4" was added Sunday. Expect about 12". Good news is that it is fluffy and not hard packed or icy. You are able to shovel it no problem.

Re: Heading to Camp Thur.

Lots of snow now, and fortunately, the next storm should miss the NC region! Hope so because I'll be up (at least Friday morning through Monday or Tuesday!

Re: Heading to Camp Thur.

Probably 12"-14" of snow in that area, I have been working around Emporium the last few weeks............It is around 6+ inches of snow, with a quarter inch or so of ice crust, covered by another 6 inches of snow.....it is fairly heavy, and gets icy when it is packed down on the back roads....
