snow pack

close to 18 inches in ny state...another storm Thursday, could be significant. I am worried already about the spring run-off..got a cabin in Laceyville.

Depending on how fast "spring" arrives that could be a problem.

The moisture content in the snow pack is very limited. The snow has occurred during low temps and is fluffy, light snow. I watched deer walk through the snow very easily last night.
Any number of conditions could change in the coming weeks but the snowpack that exists presently is quite typical of this time of year. If anything, our precipitation has been below normal. No reason to start worrying at the present time.

home...thanks...hoping for a week of temps in the high 0's to low 40's to gradually melt the pack.
