Trout and Turkey

How many guys do you get in camp and when? We dont usually go up for the trout opener. 1st or 2nd week of turkey we will do a 5 day trip. We've had 2-15 guys up. When we had 15, i had alot of kids come up and i put about $350 of trout in the stream for them. Of course that was when i was single and not married.

Re: Trout and Turkey

I'm not a first day of trout guy either. I go up to relax, not watch a circus. We try to plan a trip first or second week of May fishing with a little turkey hunting mixed in. This years trip will include my brothers bachelor party. Gonna be a good time!

Re: Trout and Turkey

Always, nothing like bagging a gobbler and catching your limit of trout by 8:00am!

Anybody can shoot deer on the farm ground....You earn it in the mountains.......

Re: Trout and Turkey

I look forward to the first full week of turkey every year. Always take off thus and friday to make a three day trip of it. Turkeys in the morning and trout all afternoon. Roost em, sleep, repeat.

Re: Trout and Turkey

We are heading up May 3-10, have anywhere between 4-9 guys. Always eat good, catch some trout and hopefully get a few birds. For the most part we have nice weather.
