Best type of propane heater

Looking to add a permanent propane heat set up to camp. Tired of getting to camp at 10:00 at night and tending fire only to get to bed at 1:00am and 55 degrees. Looking to keep set point mid forties while I'm not there. Will still drain the plumbing but I'm convinced below zero temps inside the camp don't help the situation. My constraints are that I have minimal wall space. I'll probably end up putting it under the kitchen window. What are some recommendations looking for make and model. Camp is 24x40 approx. if I close the bedroom doors and don't heat that area I'm probably around 24x28

Re: Best type of propane heater

we put a addition to our park model trailer of 12x37x12. had the local propane company come and inspect and asked for their suggestions. they suggested one 20kbtu heater. we opted for 2 15k btu infared red. heats addition evenly. heater are empire with 5 different settings. lowest setting keeps room around 60F. also had the gas company install.units cost around 350 each

we had a 3 brick ventless that did well but my friend gave me a 30,000 btu blue flame that made it much more seems to heat more evenly instead of not being able to stand in front of the 3 brick heater

20k BTUs is more than enough for most cabins, three brick with multiple settings. Have the local propane company set you up with a tank and fill it as needed...

Re: Best type of propane heater

I had a gravity flow oil heater for about 45 years finally got tired of fooling with oil and replaced it. Bought a propane furnace and put it in where the oil stove was best thing I ever did. It burns less than a 100 pound tank a year and I'm at camp a lot.

I installed a 60kbtu unit from Warm Morning and have never had a problem. Close to 14years in use. Thermostat controlled with blower. Nice thing is it only requires electric for the blower. We lose power a lot where our camp is located.
