First Weekend at camp

Well first weekend went great. Got there in time for some good snowmobiling and the wife loves the "camp" First impression is that its huge, way bigger than we would ever need. My brother lives just down the road and thinks it would rent out for a few weeks a year. Whats HPA think? Anybody ever do the vacation rental/ hunting camp thing? Like I said brother is close and willing to handle it (for a fee of course) just not sure Potter is a big enough market to bother with it.

Re: First Weekend at camp

Yes, there definitely IS a rental market in Potter County. I know several people who have rental cabins. I personally would not rent mine out - but I'm also there a lot and have tons of personal possessions and food there that I would have to remove before renting - for example: dressers and closets are full of clothes...

Where is this camp in Potter County?

Yep, that place would rent in a heartbeat. Get yourself a website or list with a real estate agency. You'll have to pay them a fee but it will be worth it if they get you rentals.

I have a friend who rents a house in Florida, if he rents on his own, no fee to the agency. If they rent it, they get their fee. Also, you gotta think about cleaning after each rental.

Very clean,it would rent. look at VRBO.com (vacation rentals by owner) get some ideas on what places are marketing for and also take a look at how bookedup places in that area are to get a feel if it is worth it.

Everytime I took interest in renting a place off of VRBO, it was gone if I hestitated a week or two...

Wow!! What a beautiful place! I'd think you'll be able to rent it with no problem whatsoever!!
