Nice looking cabin for sale, I hope it is just what a fellow HPAer is looking for. Life without a camp is just life.

Re: Cabin For Sale

That is a very nice looking cabin.

is this some kind of modular or pre-fab unit that can be divided to move it?

Re: Cabin For Sale

That's a nice looking cabin. how do you move a 24' wide building without dismantling it? Just curious.

Re: Cabin For Sale

I was wondering the same my self with out a cut down the middle. I thought 12 was as wide as could be hauled even with permit.

Re: Cabin For Sale

Section 179.11 Pa
Special approval for short distance travel can be obtained with approval from district office.
At 24 feet, it would have to be a pretty short trip.
14 feet is the normal cut off, they normally issue permit for the 16 foot wides if the route can handle it.
Bright side is, any experienced mover can split it, shore it up, and move it in two pieces, its not as hard as it seems. Look at all the modular homes going down the road everyday.

Re: Cabin For Sale

Not advisable. The "overconfident stranger" gets the fines, the guy who owns the building then has to pay a real mover plus all permits, and as a cherry on top, the state will " Hold" the structure for them until its done right.

Re: Cabin For Sale

Nice looking cabin, hopefully someone can figure out a reasonable way to move it.
Height could be a issue as well. Looks like it is roughly 12' at the peak. Going to need a very low profile trailer.
