Snow in Tionesta, West Hickory area

Didn't make it to camp for gun season yet. Had to be out of the state. Has anyone been in the area the last weekend or so. Have to go close up Mom's place, hunt the last day and maybe move a camper on Sunday.and wonder if the camper move is going to be feasible. It's up on Preacher hill. Anyone know how much snow we've got there???

What about in the Marienville area? Heading up Friday for the last day. Looks like some snow is coming in the next couple days.

Yep same here in Warren Co, that is lake snow so the wind will dictate the where.

Re: Snow in Tionesta, West Hickory area

Just got back home from West Hickory we left on monday instead of tuesday since the dirt road was an ice skating ring and the first vehicle out went in the ditch on monday morning. After the road was treated with anti skid we packed it in since the overnight low would have caused the dirt road to re-freeze. It was a little disappointing to loose a day of hunting but sometimes the weather wins. Everyone got home safe. I will be back out and at it again firday just on the other side of the state in 5b

Nomad,

Nice to see another Lititz guy traveling across the state to that area. Our place is a nice north of Pigeon.

Re: Snow in Tionesta, West Hickory area

Thanks Guys. We have to move a camper but 98% of the route will be paved roads. Was more worried about how much snow we might have to deal with on the property. Sounds like we'll make the drive and give it a shot. After we get in the last day of the season somewhere up there. Probably close to camp or on the Collins Pine ground near Whig Hill.
