I'm going to give you a recipe that will make you the envy of camp.

Chunk Of Meat Every Time Stew (comet)

3Lbs. of venison or beef steaks, diced to 1/2 inch pieces.
3 beef bullion cubes
1 1/2 cups fryin magic (seasoned flour from walmart)
1 tblsp. black pepper
1 large onion,your choice,chopped
2 cans corn
2 cans green beans
2 cans peas
2 cans sliced carrots
2 large potatoes,diced
salt if wanted.
on high setting,
In large crock or slow cooker, add meat, bullion, pepper, fryin magic, onion, potatoes.
just cover with boiling or hot water and let come to high simmer, stir often, fryin magic, will thicken and make gravy.
simmer 1 hour covered.
reduce heat to low or just above.
drain canned veggies into bowl saving juice.
add drained veggies.
if not covered by liquid add juice.
let slow cook for another 3 hours.
check tater to make sure cooked.

gravy will thicken as it cooks, but if you want it just a bit thicker,,slowly stir in some instant potatoes till you are happy.

on low heat, this pot will just get better the longer it sits.

You will be the Man at camp, and you will be surprised at how fast that crock pot will go.

true pleasure is a pair of red eyes coming at you in the night
