Heading North

Heading up to camp in potter Friday after work. Unfortunately it's only for a quick weekend but its better than nothing. Gonna hunt sat at least, then have to blow the place out because wont be back up until rifle season. Haven't been up since end of July so it will be nice to at least breath in some mountain air. Safe hunting everyone.

Re: Heading North

Have fun Joey, I am heading up to my camp in Bradford county Friday also and doing something I never did before. I'm spending the whole last week of archery there.
Good Luck!

Re: Heading North

Thanks 25ft up, you do the same. The last week of archery has always been my favorite, weather can get kinda crazy but always seen a lot of deer that week. Let us know how you make out.

Re: Heading North

You are correct about the weather. In recent years, the last weekend of archery has been colder with some snow here and there compared to the warmer opening of rifle.

Re: Heading North

Yea I remember a few years ago I think maybe 2003, that Monday morning of the last was 8 degrees at our camp. Then we had 6" snow on Thursday. Deer were moving like crazy though, grunted in a nice 6 on my way to stand in a snow squall. Another good thing about this time is just about everything is open to hunt if you choose.
