Heading to Camp in 2G

Heading up to camp in 2G, Cameron County first thing tomorrow morning. Can't wait. Only had time for one morning in the stand so far this year, and our archery season started in early September!

8 days with my dad and a good friend that has never seen "God's Country". Hoping one of us fills a tag on either a nice mountain buck or a turkey. Either way we will have a good trip.

Best of luck everyone. I will let you know how it works out once I get back!

Re: Heading to Camp in 2G

Have a safe and hopefully successful trip, I can't wait to get back up there. Technically Cameron county isn't "God's Country", (just messing with you) it's definitely close enough. Hopefully you have good weather as well, I'm sure your friend will be impressed. Let us know how you make out.

Potter county only got the moniker because their tourism bureau is larger.

Someone told it was because God himself spent some time there long ago.

Re: Heading to Camp in 2G

Was just there Mon-Wed of this week and heading up again Sun-Wed. Saw some turkey that I probably won't find again. No deer in the stand, but of course several in the yard after dark! Doesn't really matter - it still beats going to work.

Re: Heading to Camp in 2G

I'm heading back up Saturday for a five or six day "relaxing" stay. "might" cut some more campfire wood, and probably hunt for a fall turkey and maybe some squirrels and grouse too! I'll decide each morning when I finally get out of bed for coffee!!!!
