cell phone coverage

At the camp I attend we have limited cell phone coverage. I am able to send / receive text messages. On rare occasions I can get a phone call to go out. Anyone have ideas how I can strengthen the signal? Camp doesn't have electric.

Re: cell phone coverage

Small generator and a cell booster.
Some new cars have Sat. phone capability or the ability to add it, then you would have service anywhere/anytime from the car.

Re: cell phone coverage

Have you tried moving around a bit? Me and my wife spent a week in a cabin far from anything in Virginia earlier this year. In a cabin there was zero signal, step onto the deck and it was a strong 4G signal. Bizarre. I don't even get a signal that strong at my house and I live in town.
