Fall foliage update for 2G

Anyone up in 2G this weekend. Will it be a flaming foliage festival or will the leaves need another week?

Re: Fall foliage update for 2G

I was in 3B Sullivan/Bradford, and I'd say they were 80% changed. If we get a storm this coming week with wind they will be down. I'm east but it may help.

Camp life,it don't get much better!

Yep , it went from starting out to almost gone, LOL....it was raining leaves yesterday.

Big Oaks, beech still green..I mean there is some color but did the maples even fire this year?? they just looks yellow/brown and dumping leaves.

I went to pull trail cam cards today, and was real surprised how far I could see in sections of the woods already.

Yea, the wind is blowing about a steady 35 or 40 mph right now, I'm guessing tomorrow morning there wont be many leaves left........

The maples did light up around here, a few weeks ago there was a lot of bright red and yellow.....

Re: Fall foliage update for 2G

SW PA is mostly green, and many that started to turn have dropped in the wind yesterday. My guess is another year without seeing the colored "gumdrops" in SW PA's rolling hills. Been happening frequently lately.

Re: Fall foliage update for 2G

Blame the lack of rain the last two months. It's been very dry throughout much of the state. Leaves are just taking on a dull rusty hue and coming down. This storm is bringing them down quickly.
