Land for Lease - Tioga County

Hi guys,

Looking for some land to lease (hunting) in the Tioga county area. Ideally within 30 minutes of Blossberg/Arnot area which is close to Mansfield/Wellsboro for reference.

If you have any information you can shoot my way that would be great. PM or reply here is fine.

keystoneMAN 85,
Good luck with your land search, nothing over here around the Grand Canyon, you might try down along Kettle
Creek in lower Potter.

You probably wont find nothing along Kettle in Potter.Thats Stewardson Township and like 90 % is state owned. I know some guys in leases around Galeton/Ulysses/Gold area. They have pretty good hunting.

Please PM me huntRodG, yours are full.

Also I understand many leases are probably full at this point, looking more for next year.

KeystoneMAN,
The lease in Potter around Galeton/Ulysses is a join type situation, not land you will individuallly control as a lease, there will be other members who hunt on the property also. They do have good hunting in that area.
There is also a hunt club off of Lick Road in the Gaines/Galeton area that may still be taking members.

We are open to any sort of lease, joining others is not an issue.

Re: Land for Lease - Tioga County

Those guys will still be up this year, I won't because my wife is expecting our second child on Dec 10th.

I think the first few days of rifle we will still be up there with my grandfather and his brother. The hopeful lease would come into play when were at my cabin during the archery and later deer seasons!

Re: Land for Lease - Tioga County

I would knock on some doors up there. A lot of the old farmsteads are now on gas leases. The old farmers are working less, and a lot of their children, sad as it may be, don't hunt. I have met hundreds of farmers, not one so far has not been savvy with money. You may just get a lease easier than you think if you play it right. Maybe put an Ad in the Pennysaver Paper, or the Wellsboro newspaper. I bet you could secure a lease for next year.
