Club insurance

I saw in the back of QDMA magazine offering insurance for hunt clubs and landowners and was wondering if other property owners have insurance or was thinking about it. I would hate to be sued by a friend that fell out of his treestand or got injured on a quad.

I reviewed their web site www.outdoorund,com which indicated equipment like tractors and ATVS would be included.

Does anybody have or recommend club insurance

Re: Club insurance

We also have ageneral liability ins policy from Erie for $226, and a homeowners policy from Milleville Mutual for 164 (fire, theft...)
Now that some camps are getting Natural Gas royalties, people may be inclined to sue for frivilous reasons.

Re: Club insurance

If it's a "club" and you lease from, or your friends pay you to be part of it, I would highly suggest it, we used to go through the NRA. If your just letting buddies hunt your property, free of charge, state laws protect landowners from liability, and shouldn't need it.

Re: Club insurance

We have fire, liability, and director and officer insurance. When we incorporated our attorney strongly recommended the insurance for the club officers.

This is who we are. This is what we do.
