In bald eagle, just north of route 80. Buckhorn Hunting Camp.

Anybody can shoot deer on the farm ground....You earn it in the mountains.......

Is the Buckhorn camp on 5 ac of land? A-Frame log cabin? I looked at a camp on Buckhorn Rd in Centre county 2 years ago, just curious how small the world is.

Re: Bald eagle state Forest

Our Camp is North of Beech Creek and we boarder Spoul. Bald Eagle State Park is one of the reasons I really liked the area.

Our camp is Bald Eagle State Forest. The very edge between Centre Hall and Pleasant Gap. My GrandDad built the place in 1935...

This hunting sure can be crazy.
I head for my camp off the ridge road between Snow Shoe and Renovo, you head for yours that is almost in my back yard. The east part of that section of Bald Eagle SF I can see from my front door.

Re: Bald eagle state Forest

No we are not on buckhorn rd. We are off of the sugar valley narrows or white deer pike on Zimmerman road, between mile run and jersey shore exits on rt. 80. There is an overpass between the exits, that where cabin is roughly 1/4 -3/8 mike north of rt. 80. We were established on the other side of rt 80 in 1928 right where cooper mill rd comes out. In 1964 rt 80 coming through and the lease was 3 ft into 80's right of way, so the state moved it in January of 65 to where it is now. It's in a much better spot now!
