Cell Phone ???s

Hello,
What do the restaurants (yesterdays, green lantern, sportsman's) have that give them signals? Is it a repeater if so does anyone have a recommendation for one?
Also I saw on here that they were wanting to put up 12 more towers. Has anyone actually seen any towers constructed?
Thanks...

Re: Cell Phone ???s

It might be a satellite dish(s), like The Black Forest Inn (and the next door neighbor at my camp).

Re: Cell Phone ???s

they are repeaters that are connected to the local cable lines. they provide very localized(meaning several feet) of coverage. I actually had to install a few inside our work facility due to the poor internal reception.

Re: Cell Phone ???s

all a repeater is going to do is give the same signal inside your camp as you get outside. We can get 3-4 bars outside in a certain spot outside our camp, no bars inside. I installed a repeater last year and we now get 3-4 bars inside.

We have a repeater installed in our home, and its improved cell services by leaps and bounds. Both inside and outside, I have seen an improvement. It's an everyday occurrence that someone stops at the bottom of the driveway to use our phone.
