Belonged to a camp for 40years, most of my buddys passed, the new blood wanted to party not hunt, so I resigned. Looking for a camp to call home. Non smoker, very light drinker.Fish, hike, hunt. Willing to help w/anything, mainenance, cook, etc. Semi retired 70 yr old in good physical shape.
Maybe we should look for an old folks home in the Mtns. I like the camraderie, woods, war stories and everything associated with camp life, can still pull a deer, but I'm not the 4 AM hunter I used to be. Still a pretty [censored] good cook.
There are a lot of us old timers who would enjoy "camp life" again w/o the making hunting a job instead of a hobby. I tell this to my buddy who just retired last year. I think he is getting the message but hasn't been able to "walk in my shoes" to understand my out of shape after 17 yrs of retirement lifestyle. Camp life is more important to me than the need to hunt hard. Memories are what us old timers enjoy now a days. Let the younger lads create theirs.
