I agree, this 2 week season will mow down the herd. The only way it would work is to severely restrict the number of doe tags for certain WMU's. It is still a task to hit the big woods and see a deer let alone harvest a mature animal. The days of seeing 50-60 deer per day, 20-30 in a line working a bench are gone, however, the bucks seem to be better. IMHO is "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" and currently I think there is a good balance of buck to doe and good bucks to be had. Just have to do some work to find them. Also from my walks, the forest undergrowth is taking over in some areas, maybe one reason to not kill the deer off?
