Thanks Blacksmith, the doe I saw a few weeks ago were moving in late afternoon. The bucks on the trail cams were still only moving after dark.

I think the old man and I will be heading up Next week for a few days to chase some deer and bear with the bows. I also was debating on bringing the Shorthairs to potentially look into getting some roosters up. Not too sure of anywhere that is stocked. I saw on the PGC interactive map that they put some down by wetmore somewhere south of 6. May give it a walk and see what happens.

Things should start picking up, the young bucks are starting to roam around down here (2B, 2D) so it wont be long. It would be nice to get a mountain buck with the bow. Fishing has also seemed to pick up from reports on other sites. The Allegheny river is yielding walleye and trout. The Kinzua is also seeing some eyes, bass and pike action.

It is that time of the year, time to get after it!

Dirty Dozen. We are in the south branch of Hamilton Hollow. Young Guns are in the north branch. Their Dad was one of our original members. Stop by when you're up next month.

OK, thought there was some sort of connection between the two with NJ plates and all. If I get into Hamilton I will. Got some folks contacting me to thin out some coons in other areas. Gonna give it our best shot !!

Good luck with the ring tails. Unfortunately, I will not be making it up there. My x-bow is broken and won't be repaired in time.

You could throw rocks and the trip would still be worth it. Hope you get your bow fixed.

Heading up to camp this weekend. Is anyone seeing any chasing or rut activity? It has been 3 weeks since we were up there. We are in the Kane area.

Yes they are chasing, my camp is near Crosby. Thursday night I had an 8pt harassing a doe. I thought I was going to get a shot at 10 yds but he ran through the opening and stopped a hair over 30yds. It was just about dark and heavy rain and fog moving in so I passed on shot. On Friday morning I saw some chasing. Had to leave for my daughter's W.P.I.A.L. soccer final in Pittsburgh, heading back up Saturday Night.

Cold and windy here today. Rain on and off. No luck hunting. Did find new scrapes that were not there yesterday.
