Re: need satellite installation help!!

you should be able to connect one line to your dish and run it to you box. Point your dish in the right direction and it should work . We let a extra box from home at our camp.

Re: need satellite installation help!!

The dish I hooked up had three connections, I think I used the one in the middle. I used a compass to find south west and after a few minutes it was hooked up.

Re: need satellite installation help!!

You should be able to do it with just one cable. If you do some searching on the net you can find a lot of info. With pics. If you give me info. I can help lead in the right direction.

Re: need satellite installation help!!

I contacted Direct TV, told them I have a camp and what can they do. They charged me a one time installation fee of $75, installed a new dish, new pole, ran a 150 foot cable to camp and installed the cable to my tv. I simply take one of my boxes from home and connect it to the coax they installen.
There is no additional monthly charge sincs I am using an exsisting box from home.
I get the exact channels at camp as I get at home.
