Progress report on Camp Bucktail

Yesterday, we finally broke ground for the new camp. Lots of bulldozer and backhoe work, and we have a new site leveled off. We have to hold off on pouring footers until the second week of June because a couple of our guys are still in school. Then the first three courses of block will go in and the floor will be poured. Here is what the site looks like as of yesterday afternoon.

Nice work, it doesn't look like you got the rain we did over the weekend and yesterday.
Keep us posted on progress.

lookin good! looking forward to seeing the progress as you folks continue. I can see the dust in pictures (from where you folks picked yourselves up, dusted yourselves off and decided to rebuild!) Keystonepaul

Good to see the rebuilding start. Will you have it done by buck season?

Re: Progress report on Camp Bucktail

The excavator will be digging footers this morning, and we have a crew scheduled to pour footers on Thursday and lay up the first three courses of block to the floor on Friday. Things are finally starting to pick up speed. Photos to follow later today.
