look for the owner

Hey all I'm look to contact the owner of a camp that my grandfather built near crossfork .its a longshot but I'm hope he will be a member.its located right up the mountain from crossfork pa on paddys run rd. Not far from quiet oaks campground . Its a big blue house that looks like a barn there is also a blue shed that matches the house on the property. I spent a lot of time helping put this place together and maintaining it until my grandfather died there . I want to give the owner my contact info so if he ever decides to sell I can bring it back into my family. If anyone knows the owner . Please help I will pm my info to you to forward to this person.

Thanks

Re: look for the owner

Have you tried looking at county land records? Should give you the owners name and address.

Take a trip up there. Quiet Oaks has cabins to rent. You could ask neighbors or go to the courthouse. Good Luck

Magras,
Don't know the new owner of that place, met your Grandpa a few times long ago, good man! How in the world did the place ever get out of your families ownership. From what I understand the owner lives out of state, we Grouse hunt down that way now and then, I will ask around about the owner, best bet would be the county court house land records
at this point.

Re: look for the owner

My grandfather past away up there and the house went to my uncle. He couldn't handle the maintnence and freqent trips up so he sold it . I was heart broken. I will be up in july at quiet oaks . I will do some digging then . That place was a huge part of my childhood and also was my grandfathers dream . I would hate for it to be sold again and not have a shot at it . I'm sure some will understand.
Thank you pine-creek I appreciater the kind words a lot of people up that way remember him and remember his place as "the country club"

Re: look for the owner

If that's the camp that sits on the edge of the field in the Austin Hollow, then our camp is only 1/4 mile away. That's the only camp up there that looks like that I think. If that's the one I'll spook around next time I'm up there. There's never been anyone around that I remember when we've been there, but they're doing some work around there so they must use it.

Re: look for the owner

Success! I called the county got the owners name and looked him up in the whitepages. Made the call yesterday. He invited me up to visit when I am in the area and the house is now being used as a youth camp . I think my grandfather would be happy about this
