Anyone going to their camp?

With this stay at home thing just wondering if anyone was at their camp. My camp is my second home and I would be doing more social distancing there than I am at home. Havenít been there in a while and am ready to make a trip up. Got a number of jobs I wanted to get finished this spring.

I was there on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Went home for Easter, went back to camp today. I spend a lot of time there. Set up there is nicer than my home.

Would have been up over Easter but didn't want to make a 5 hour drive with the foretasted weather.
Next scheduled trip is second week of May. (Spring Fling) Trout & Turkey.

As soon as the weather gets nice I will be heading up with the kids. Going to be cold this weekend so we will wait.

Been doing a lot of hiking and fishing in state forest land the last couple of weeks. I don't think I have ever seen more people at camp.

Was over at camp in Potter for the weekend of the 4th and5th to finish up some trees that were dropped last July. Went back on Monday the 6th to start cleaning up beech brush around the camp. Finished on the 7th. Heading back this weekend for the "trout opener" even though we've been fishing since the 8th. Looks like I'll be renting a splitter for the first week of turkey so we can get all the logs split for firewood. We need to make a decision on what to do with the wood- we have a pellet stove and this much campfire wood will probably go punky before it's used. A few before and after pics. Front yard looks like a lumber yard!

Wishing I was at camp!

Was up the weekend of the 4th. Headed back up the 25th for Youth Turkey opener. No better place to social distance with no neighbors except for the wildlife.

I've been holding off because I have two close friends (permanent residents) who are in their 70s and, even tho by nature of where they live, they are kind of social distance champions, I don't want to expose them to anything. I was considering going up for turkey, however.
