Trout opener at camp

If you live in a county under lockdown, can you tout fish at your cabin/cottage that is not under lockdown?

Personally I do not think I would you need food unless you take it with you in which case you are taking from your primary residence. You have to get gas there are nobody working on turnpikes just easypass. Is it worth your life. I am 70 and have never missed one I live in the burbs of Philly and have a place in Monroe and only up there and I will be missing this one. Again just my two cents.

I get what you are saying but your situation is much different than mine. One of my favorite fishing spots that I hit every opening day is 10-15 minutes from my primary residence. Just happens to be in a county not under lockdown, I live really close to the county line. My cottage is 40 miles from my primary residence, don't plan on going there now.

You can travel for outdoor activity, just recommended to keep social distance. I briefly read the order, not sure it mentions traveling across county lines.

Engaging in outdoor activity, such as walking, hiking or running if they maintain social distancing

I just may skip this season due to the fact that the section of stream I love had to be stocked by volunteers. Stock truck would pull up this old beat up road and about 10 of us would take a bucket each and walk about 400 yards to all these little holes. Was easy to practice social distancing. Now, I am sure the truck will just stop at a road about a half mile up stream and just put the trout in from the blacktop. Turkey season is the week later, will be alone for that so I will be safe. As will others.

We usually have between 6 and 18 guys show up at camp for the first day of fishing season. Yep and they all fish. Ages between 18 and 85. This year we may cancel. Only one store open in town for supplies and every other camp will be in there. Neighboring camp guys always stop in to B.S . The guys in camp come from SW PA different locations. While the streams we fish are often crowded the first day mid week you don't see many guys. Pretty tough decision to make. I'd bet we don't make the first day.

Glad we got Beaver Season in.

I will be there. Most likely alone. Been fishing opening day in Centre County for 58 years. A few years back I fished after having my hip replaced 9 days prior. Didnít do much wading that year.
