Heading to camp this weekend with my wife, older daughter, and her husband. The daughter and son-in-law have never been there. Have to mow and do a few small things, but plan to spend most of the time driving around showing them why it's called "God's Country"! Probably will head to Benezette Saturday to see the elk. How are the leaves looking? The forecast looks sunny and dry for the weekend. The bow is staying home this time, but will be making the trip several times by mid-November. Anyone else headed that direction? Can't wait!
This is the only weekend everyone could make it, so I really didn't have a choice, but I'll try to remember that for next fall. Even if the leaves aren't peak, we'll still have a great time. Thanks for the info.
Altitude this past weekend was key to the leaves. Around Cross Fork, there are some yellows and scarlets, but up around Denton Hill, the leaves are really getting close to peak. Go and have a good time! Note also that the brookies are really pretty right now, in full spawning colors!
