Purple paint

So yesterday was the day the purple paint no trespassing law was in effect.
Has anyone done or plan to mark your property boundaries?

three hour + trek to my place. Get to it come spring. BTW, picked up the only two spray cans of Rustoleum dark purple at Ollies's, right before rifle deer. Weather didn't work out once I got up there, so I left the paint at camp.

It ain't the "official" purple marking paint, but they were $1.99 a can. Close enough. The other stuff will eventually fade anyway.

I wonder how many Hatfield McCoy feuds this will start??? Posters can be ripped down. But paint paint, that's a different story!

Probably paint with a few posters mixed in for good measure. Going to use a 4" Whizz roller...a lot cheaper, quicker (at least to get a good thickness), and thicker (longer lasting) than spray paint.

..theyll just cut the tree down.....

as a ref. when I talked to a DCNR officer about their blue paint law 20 years ago I noticed that they suggest scraping the loose bark off BEFORE applying the paint ...purple IS an aesthetically bad color for throwing all through the woods.

One of my camp neighbors posted their fields last fall and most of their main farm lands way up the road from camp, but not the 80 acres that adjoin me, except for the small amount of road frontage next to camp. First time they've ever done all that posting. Didn't post any of that land up behind me, so I expect they posted for road hunters? Never got to talk to them, but we've always gotten along.

I have about 1,200 feet along the road, so Will let the road frontage posters speak for themselves, but will put some purple stripes along the fence row gully in one area far from the road, where I join another clan. They occasionally let people on there that like to wander.

Well now , if it aint official purple, 4.6" from ground, spaced every 28.3" apart ,on maple, loganberry, mulberry, and sassafras trees only then it's not legal
