It will take a lot of $$ to get that dump into habitable shape.

The Ox Yoke was once one of the premiere eating establishments in that area for decades, before it began the decline. Perhaps the new owners will bring it back again?

I wish him luck. Success will be difficult. Place is a maintenance nightmare. I'm bettin at least half a million to get that property viable again. That roof was shot twenty years ago. Different era now than in it's heyday. Place that size needs customers every day. No Denton Hill, less snowmobiles, grey rainy winters, less motorcycles. There is a lot stacked against them.

It's been a Long time but in my younger days I've downed a few at the Ox Yoke.
Sure brings back some memories.

I was by last weekend as well ,It does look like fresh paint also but that place is going to need a ton of money put in it.Two or three years ago we were in the dollar general across the street and people came in that rented one of the little motel rooms down back and they were buying air freshner spray and all kinds of cleaning stuff, after they left the cashier said almost everyone that stays there comes over and gets supplies because of mold issues and that was 2 or 3 yrs ago and has set empty for a year or more. I wish the new owner well but I do not see it being a success things have changed and those kind of places are all going out of business ,I saw the little cabins for rent by the perma stone are for sale , the little cabins at nine mile have been for sale for years, coach stop inn and colton point hotel are pretty empty most weekends
