Actually thinking of shingling over the old stuff. But, metal may be the way to go. Good suggestion!

Have to replace floor joists and the floor in the utility room where our water system is located. Some of the joists were set on the ground when the place was built almost 70 years ago and over time they have rotted. Don't want the water heater falling through! I'm also thinking about enclosing part of my screen porch to make the inside of camp bigger. I'd leave enough porch to sit out there and enjoy the peace and quiet, but it would give me some extra living space. Would be a major spring/summer job, but I'm just not sure yet if I want to pull the trigger or not. Plus there are some other more minor jobs I'd like to take care of before archery season. That should be enough. Thank goodness I'm retired!

Our plan for the spring is to finish converting a former horse barn into a hanging and processing house.
Have to spread and roll some stone in front (horses can really make a mess/mud pit!)
Hang the LED lights we picked up
Fabricate and hang new doors, and install a repurposed 24k btu wall unit to chill if needed.
Install the 2 fold down starboard countertops fabbed last month.

We hung a pair of hoists and 2 rows of gambrels/eyes between ML and rifle last year.
Gonna be a nice setup when finished. Room to hang and process up to 10 deer... with the ability to chill to or slightly below 40 if itís warm during the seasons.

That has been a project in my mind to do at our place. I was thinking a large shed to fit two sets of bunks and a wood stove. Put it over by the outhouse and it should be a pretty good set up.

Keep us updated on your bunk house!
