Mice

Does anyone have a better solution to dealing with mice in camp than Victor mouse traps and peanut butter bait? Or, a way to keep mice out of camp?

Re: Mice

bucket of water works great...put 4-5" in there...check it every other week or so or you will have some seriously nasty smelling mice soup

Re: Mice

Do you know where they are coming in? Sometimes if you can find how they are getting in you can spray foam the opening.

The bucket trap does indeed work well. Just dont let the bucket sit for 2 weeks or longer, the smell does get bad after a bit

Re: Mice

Another vote for the bucket trap. I use it with great success. In the winter just put some anti-freeze in it and your still in business. When I want to get rid of them quick I use about 6 buckets and in a couple days no more mouse sign.

Re: Mice

The only way to go if you can't check the trap every day. It's also known as the adirondacks mouse trap, here's a couple more links on how to build one.
This is the one I use.

Re: Mice

There was a guy on here with a Black Snake issue, pick one of those efficient mouse catchers from him and your problem is solved!! LOL

Re: Mice

At our old cabin we did the toilet trick. Small plant to get them close they get off slip down and drown. We come to camp and flush.
