Camp break ins

Many moons ago I once heard a srory about a camp owner who was sick and tired of his Camo being broke into so what he did over load a box of 30-30 shells and left them inside the cabin on the table. . Boy I am sorry for who ever shot those shells Not sure if breaks ins stopped or not

Pretty stupid idea !

Consider the potential for someone who wasn't involved in any criminal activity firing those cartridges with serious injury resulting ? ? ?

I agree with Plinker and even if it was the thief who got hurt he would try to sue the owner. Too often in this day and age the bad guys turn the table on the good guys.

It is illegal in our State for any type of booby trap set on your property for burglars , trespassers,etc.I guess that if someone was injured he could be arrested. Don't really care about the burglars but an innocent person could be injured.
