Bradford Co. breakins near SGL 219

Was at camp this past weekend and the neighbor said he has been checking camps of folks he knows around SGL 219. Seems there has been some breakins in the area . Has anyone heard more about this?
I know a few months back someone was torching homes and garages in the RT 706 area in Bradford co. Any idea what became of that?

Scroll down to see the PSP report on a camp burglary in Tioga County, where a gun safe and dozens of firearms, etc were carried off between July and Oct. 24. Yikes! I wouldn't trust a real gun safe to keep firearms in at camp. let alone a StackOn one.

Nope, a building in the middle of nowhere should not have firearms stored in it. Gun safe or no gun safe, thieves will get what is inside or carry off the safe and open it at their leisure. Stack on so-called gun safes are not safes, they are cabinets, a hammer and chisel will get you in in no time.

I never leave a gun anywhere where I can't see it.

Many safes on the market have heavy steel doors and door frames, but the rest of the safe is just heavy gauge sheet metal sides/back with a couple layers of sheet rock between the sheet metal for insulation.

Champion has a video of a guy hacking thru the side of another brand's gun safe in minutes, with a heavy fireman's ax.

But yep, no way I'd ever leave any of my firearms in a gun safe at a camp that was not visited for several months. Wouldn't do that if I was there every few weeks.

Most of the things left at our camp are "hand me downs", like an older microwave, 15 yo TV, stereo and small appliances, etc.
