Home/Cabin Security question

Guys, I need to establish a security system for my new home and hoping you can help. It was abandoned for 2-3 years and I know it was a popular hunting spot during that time. I'm getting it formally surveyed, then I'll post it accordingly but here's where I'm at with ideas.

I'm about 650 off the road in the middle of the woods so my initial needs are a driveway alarm and hopefully, a perimeter notification system of some sort.

For the driveway alarm, I'm close to buying a Dakota Alert MURS system... but not 100% sold on the notifications of verbal alerts. Still open to suggestions.

As far as perimeter security, I was thinking about trail cams that send txt and/or email pic alerts. The only thing is I can't wrap my head around how to extend battery life... any thoughts on this? That being said, more motion transmitters from the MURS above might be my other option.

thanks in advance to any thoughts, opinions, or suggestions.

Re: Home/Cabin Security question

I'd recommend solar panel with charger to extend battery life.

If you are 650 feet from the road you could bury electrical along the trail and power to the cams along the trail. Along the perimeter solar panel
